Running at 1500MHz for an unexplained cause
I'm using a Ryzen 2600X with an ASRock B450M-HDV R4 4GB DDR4 memory at 3200MHz. Despite enabling XMP in BIOS and setting the RAM speed to match, my CPU still shows 1500MHz. Also, the maximum bandwidth listed is 2400MHz even though I bought 3200MHz RAM. I checked their official site for a compatible list but couldn't find it. Could this mean I have an incompatible RAM or I'm not overclocking properly? Thanks!
This explains why CPU-Z lists my RAM speed as 1598 MHz instead of the actual 3200 MHz. The math shows it should be around 3198, but rounding and scaling make it seem lower. I’m curious when TDR will become common. *For those who don’t understand – it’s Triple Data Rate.*
