Hello,
I checked some forums to confirm if I was making any mistakes (it’s possible). This is my first time creating an original character. Specs: 4770K, Asus Maximus VI HERO, Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A (4x8GB), Corsair H100i Cooler, EVGA 1060 FTW+. I reset the BIOS to factory settings and adjusted the multiplier to 41. Everything is working smoothly with no BSOD during stress tests. However, if I increase the multiplier to 42 or above, the tests fail and the machine crashes. From the discussions I read, it seems I could change the multiplier to 44 without altering the voltage. I also learned there are faulty CPU batches, which might explain this issue.
Any chance I’m doing something wrong or did I just receive a defective processor in the Haswell lineup?

Turn off all power-saving options before starting. You might not be familiar with this guide, but doing the initial overclocks can provide useful guidance.
