I had an extremely high-level character with 2141 total levels, but it got hacked. The hacker stole my money, ran a macro, and banned my account. I sent explanations via tickets, but they didn’t listen. It’s hard to decide if it’s worth playing anymore—community is still very hardcore, but I miss the game a lot. With limited internet MMOs and constant patches, it’s costing me a lot of money.
I played that game intensely for several years, yet each update only made me more frustrated. I think the original fans have faded away significantly and now it's dominated by a newer crowd. I sold most of my accounts, but I managed to keep one just in case I ever wanted to return.
I couldn't locate a game that matches Runescape's intensity. Recently I moved my Tera to the HDD and erased it, which really frustrated me about downloading it at home—it would cost $500 or I'd have to wait for a friend to re-download it.
