Hello
I recently purchased the GIGABYTE NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 5060 WINDFORCE MAX OC 8G and everything functions properly.
But when playing "The Last of Us Part II" at full speed, the GPU usage varies between 100W and 120W with 99% efficiency at 61°C and 80 to 100 FPS.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
GPU: GIGABYTE NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 5060 WINDFORCE MAX OC 8G
RAM: 32GB DDR4 3600MHz Corsair Vengeance
Motherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VDH
SSD: 1TB Crucial P5 Plus + 1TB Crucial P3 Plus
Power Supply: FSP Hyper 80+ Pro 650W
Other games such as Fortnite perform better with Performance Mode at High Quality, using only about 50% of the capacity.
Benchmarks show peak usage around 145W, but this is only during testing.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks

I completed the tests and achieved 145W.

What are your thoughts?

That's the expected performance...
MOBO: MSI B550M PRO-VDH
Which BIOS version is installed on your motherboard?
You mention purchasing the RTX 5060 recently. Were you using a different BIOS before replacing the GPU? Did you use DDU before swapping the graphics card?

If it's operating at that power level and 99% usage, that's actually positive—it shows it doesn't require as much power. For Fortnite, the performance settings use less GPU demand, which means no unexpected high usage. Fortnite also tends to be more CPU-heavy.

In essence, it refers to sections of the GPU that aren't actively used. This includes the Tensor and Ray Tracing cores. For gaming at high performance levels, it mostly depends on needing the shaders. Roughly 1/5th of the Blackwell chip is dedicated to ray tracing, and about 1/3 of what's left is for the tensor cores—though these might still be engaged, not fully idle.
