I built a PC using the Zotac 4080 amp Extreme Airo and Ryzen 5 7600X. Benchmarks for 4K gaming show players achieving 80-90 FPS at full settings, but I’m only seeing around 35 FPS in native 4K. Switching to DLSS doesn’t significantly improve the numbers, and frame generation still caps around 80 instead of the expected 100+. My GPU draws about 180W—could that be a factor? Have others experienced similar issues?

This task demands a lot of processing power. It’s worth verifying CPU activity during gameplay to assess performance. A more powerful CPU could help maximize the GPU’s potential.

Performance isn't very high at 4K even with the Zen3 chip, but it's still close to the top on a 13900K at that setting: https://www.techspot.com/article/2520-sp...60p-Medium

Point taken, but that's an older test with up to a 12900k and 3090 Ti. I recall during the 4090 launch reviews it was pushing CPUs to their limit hence making my earlier comment. 4080 might not be a 4090, but it is still a bit faster than a 3090 Ti. My suggestion of looking at the CPU still holds. If the system isn't performing as expected, get monitoring up and see what is going on. Is the CPU or GPU maxed out? Temps? Power limits? Rogue background process? Ram speeds and configuration? My personal view is that a 6 core CPU, even if a modern one, is rather low end to pair up with a 4080.
