RTX 4070TI not performing as expected
I recently acquired an MSI RTX 4070ti Gaming Trio X. After installing fresh Windows and reinstalling my games, performance hasn't improved as expected. For instance, in Destiny 2 I previously maintained 140+ frames with normal-high on 1440p using a 3070, but now it crashes. With the 4070ti I only reach around 130 frames and often fall below 70 in tougher scenarios like raids. I've tried everything—updated BIOS, DDU'd, reinstalled games. It's strange I get decent stats on Apex Legends at ultra with 190+ frames on 1440p and cyberpunk hits 130+ even with RT off and Frame Gen ON. My stock i7-10700k seems fine, but CPU usage stays under 50% and around 30-40%. In D2 my GPU is using 60-70%. Could this be a bottleneck? Please help me—I'm running out of options and need proper performance. My full PC specs are attached.
Turn on DLSS in Destiny2 and choose the balanced preset. If I could predict, it would match what you observed after updating your GPU settings.
d2 lacks DLSS and the balance adjustments offer little change.
