Hi
My name is Omar, I have an RTX 4070 TI Super and it works well.
But AMD has released new cards recently.
The two models cost the same in my country.
The AMD card XT is under 60 dollars.
My main use is gaming at 2K, mainly playing FC 25, Spiderman, and RDR2.
Would switching to an AMD 9070 XT really improve gaming performance and quality?
And how would it affect video editing or streaming?
Also, I play in 2K resolution—thanks.

Do you mind RT? Outside of that they’re pretty much about the same.
From a streaming/recording perspective, I believe Nvidia offers better, more dependable tools compared to AMD, but if you're not producing much or it's not your main focus, you should check if the extra is really necessary.

If you already own a 4070ti, there isn’t much benefit to upgrading to a 9070xt for 2k gaming. The 9070xt is slightly improved, but it’s unlikely to make a noticeable difference in actual gameplay. If the decision comes down to cost, I’d recommend choosing the 9070xt.

I meant tools, not encoders? Still, NVENC remains helpful. Tasks such as shadow effects work better and are more dependable than relive, and they offer superior recording quality compared to OBS. They also include features like background removal or replacement without green screens.

Purchase the 9070 XT, it offers increased speed, improved software, and reliable performance without crashes or black screens, along with extended support.

I don't believe the improvement in average performance of the RX 9700 XT justifies the cost considering your RTX 4070 Ti Super. You'll lose money by buying a Nvidia card, so the price difference won't make sense. Both are suitable for 2K gaming.

If you already own a 4070ti super, you're essentially on par with the 9070 non-xt, which is close to the 9070xt. Of course, it's your choice, but you might not gain much extra performance from the 9070xt in this situation. This is especially true given Nvidia's recent updates supporting DLSS 4 on older cards.

Hey there,
I understand what you're saying.
@RUSerious and @ohio_buckeye are right.
It's not a big improvement.
Still, we don't have your system details. Just sharing your specs would help us give better advice.
