I’m experiencing an unusual situation. I recently installed the new Zotac Trinity RTX 4070 Ti Super and updated my graphics driver before adding the card. Once the system powers on, everything functions smoothly across both monitors. But when I shut down the PC via the Windows start menu and attempt to restart, nothing appears. My only solution is a full reset—powering off completely, unplugging the power supply, and detaching the AC cord. After this, it boots again but displays a CMOS reset warning before launching Windows. Even when I simply turn it back on normally, no output appears.

Previously, with a PNY card, the same problem occurred. Since then, even after switching manufacturers, the issue persists. My motherboard is an MSI B650I MPG EDGE WIFI model, and there are no visible error lights. I haven’t changed any BIOS settings or applied the EXPO RAM profile. The system runs on an ITX form factor with a PCIe riser for the graphics card. It performs well with other cards like the RX 6950 XT and another RTX 4070 Ti.

I suspect the issue might stem from the motherboard defaulting to integrated graphics, though I’m not certain. My specs are: Ryzen 7 7700X, MSI B650I MPG EDGE WIFI, G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB DDR5 6000 MT/s C36, Zotac Trinity RTX 4070 Ti Super, and a Lian Li SP850 850W power supply.

Change the CMOS battery on the motherboard; if it’s not working, the BIOS won’t restart.

Do you have any news about this problem? I’m facing the same issue myself. But it seems to happen unpredictably after reboots. Usually the system starts up without trouble, though my main display often stays dark. I can hear the Windows audio, but I can’t do much except cut power. It’s so inconsistent that even after restarting ten times, everything functions properly. Also, I ran stress tests with 3DMark and FurMark—results were normal. Recently I moved from a 1080 model that never had issues. My attempts so far: reset CMOS and updated BIOS to the newest release; uninstalled drivers using DDU and installed the latest ones (currently version 551.23). My hardware specs: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, MSI B550-A PRO (MS-7C56) with A.F0 BIOS, Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 4 x 8 GB RAM, Zotac Trinity RTX 4070 Ti Super, Corsair RM850x 850W power supply, and two DELL S2721DGF units connected via DP.

Hello, have you attempted configuring PCI mode Gen4 in the BIOS? I’m not sure if it would help, but I recently assembled a new PC using an RTX 4070 and encountered the problem you mentioned. The fix for that was setting PCI mode to Gen4 in the BIOS.
