Hello everyone,
I'm facing ongoing problems with my RTX 3090 and would appreciate some guidance. In recent months, I've encountered crashes in several games, even after replacing multiple parts such as the GPU (RMA via ASUS), PSU, motherboard, processor, and adding 16GB of RAM with a new cooler. Despite these changes, the issue continues.

The pattern is consistent: everything functions normally for about an hour before the game crashes. This has happened in Diablo IV (hourly crashes, no matter the activity) and most recently in Avowed (Steam edition). Online troubleshooting steps haven't resolved the problem.

Current PC specifications:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core
Motherboard: Gigabyte B650E Aorus Master ATX AM5
Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB (4 x 16GB) DDR5-6200 CL36
Storage: PCIe Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB (among others)
GPU: Asus Strix Gaming OC GeForce RTX 3090 24GB
PSU: Corsair RM1200x SHIFT 1200W 80+
I've been tracking temperatures with various tools, including the same ones that previously detected my faulty GPU heatsink. Under load, temperatures stay within normal ranges. I've also performed multiple OCCT stability tests on CPU, memory, and GPU without finding any issues.

At this stage, I'm uncertain and cautious about continuing to replace components without a clearer direction. If anyone has any insights or recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it. Please let me know if you need more details, and I'll share them promptly.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB (4 x 16GB) DDR5-6200 CL36
Checking the PCB updates for the sticks. Do you have a link to the RAM kits you're using?
Storage: PCIe Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB (plus others)
List all storage devices connected to your motherboard.
Motherboard: Gigabyte B650E Aorus Master ATX AM5
Current BIOS version? Did you reinstall the OS after replacing the motherboard? Are you installing the OS offline, then adding drivers in an elevated command? Please share your OS details too.
You've mentioned crashes three times—could you explain what you mean by a crash? Is it related to the game launching, desktop launching, or system reboots?

Hello, and thank you! I have another account that’s marked as "ancient," but it used the username I had when I was younger, which made me feel uncomfortable. >.
Thank you still! I’ll do my best to address your questions:

Regarding the crashes, in Diablo IV, for instance, I experienced them every hour while playing. I didn’t set a precise time, but I noted consistently around the one-hour mark. I began leaving the game just before that period and managed to prevent the issues.
The crashes triggered a Fenris Error message, sending me back to my desktop. I do have some logs from those incidents if you’d like to review them.

As for Avowed, I’ve had crashes at irregular times, though they never happened immediately. They seem to appear after about an hour of play. These also lead to a dialogue box where the Avowed version says "Fatal Error" and returns me to the desktop.

Memory details:
I can look into the PCB information shortly. Here’s what I have so far:

RAM kits currently in use:
- C: Samsung SSD 980 PRO 2TB – 2000.3 GB
- SanDisk SD8SBBU480G1122 – 480.1 GB
- WDC WD10EZEX-00BN5A0 – 1000.2 GB
- Samsung SSD 970 EVO 1TB – 1000.2 GB

Transfer modes/current mode:
- PCIe 4.0 x4 | PCIe 4.0 x4
- SATA/600 | SATA 600
- PCIe 3.0 x4 | PCIe 3.0 x4

All listed as "Good," which is satisfactory.

System updates:
I recently updated my BIOS/Chipset/APU driver to the latest version.

Operating system:
Microsoft Windows 11 Home, version 10.0.26100 Build 26100
Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation
Model: B650E AORUS MASTER
Type: x64-based PC
SKU: Default string
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor, 4201 MHz, 8 cores, 16 logical processors

Additional notes:
- Secure Boot is disabled.
- Boot device: HarddiskVolume4
- BIOS version/date: F33a, 2/7/2025
- SMBIOS version: 3.7
- Embedded controller version: 255.255
- Baseboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
- Platform role: Desktop

Let me know if you need anything else!
