RTX 3080 experienced a crash while running at 4K resolution.
I recently changed my monitor to an LG C2 OLED model and have begun experiencing crashes during gameplay that previously ran smoothly at 1080p. The most affected titles are Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man Miles Morales. After playing for a short time, the game will crash with messages suggesting outdated drivers or overly high settings. It appears only Steam is running in the background. The actions I've taken so far include updating GeForce drivers to version 527.56, installing Windows 11 version 22H2 (x64), updating ASUS Croshair X670E BIOS to 0805, removing and reinstalling both games in Steam, and enabling DOCP with DLSS and RayTracing disabled. The system runs on a Ryzen 7900X, GTX 3080 Ultra, and is fully water-cooled with compatible parts from EKWB.
I uninstalled drivers/fresh install of drivers and games are still crashing. In Miles Morales im getting a juttering effect now. Game is reportedly running over 100+ frames per second too. I even went as far as to do a clean install of Windows 10 (After using 11 for a few months I decided I didn't like it enough to stay on it.)
Consider turning off GSync or VSync in the game settings, as the issue might have appeared only with the new monitor. Updated December 14, 2022 by Esemes16 Corrected spelling
