It didn't work at all. It looks like Nvidia added some LHR controls to their V-Bioses as well.

when the GPU reaches its power ceiling the chip will briefly lose voltage and timing speed. you can notice this effect on cards that have very low power thresholds; mid-range models might not show it clearly since it happens so quickly—this is called clock stretching. i’ve felt micro stutters during intense moments in gunfights, and sometimes a noticeable stutter with my GTX 1080 Armor after upgrading from a 290watt to a 220watt BIOS. after the flash, the card kept its speed more consistently, only slowing down when it got hotter. if you want performance during long sessions, it’s better to avoid systems that struggle under stress.
