RTX 3060Ti paired with a Ryzen 5 3600 faces challenges in Warzone.
Hey everyone, since I got my RTX 3060Ti it’s been having issues in Warzone. It only manages around 90-110 fps at low settings, just like my 1660Super at 1080p. When compared to the 1660S there are more micro stutters and I often have to restart the game because it drops to 40fps in some cases. That’s really annoying since it was meant to run smoothly above 40 fps.
Details: CPU – Ryzen 5 3600, GPU – RTX 3060Ti, Motherboard – Gigabyte B450 DS3H, Cooler – Coolermaster Hyper212 Black, RAM – Corsair Vengeance 16 GB (2x8GB), DDR4-3000 CL16, PSU – EVGA 650Q 80+ Bronze, Storage – 2 x 256GB M.2 and 1TB SATA SSD, Case – MSI Mag Forge 100r, Monitor – Samsung Odyssey 1440p at 144Hz.
I also faced the same issue with turning it on, ended up with a blue screen, then reset the BIOS without realizing it.
Remove the outdated drivers and ensure no 3060 is running with 1660 drivers installed.
It seems this game won't run smoothly at high frame rates on your setup. It's a decent machine but not top-tier; I'd expect steady 110-120fps instead of 144+. For smoother performance in tough games, a 3080 chip and possibly a more powerful CPU would be better.
I receive performance between 75 and 90 frames per second at 1440p resolution. My configuration blends medium-high settings, and I’m using an i5 10400f with a 2060 and 16GB RAM. It seems the original poster shouldn’t be surprised by much improvement, given their hardware is superior.
Absolutely, I agree. 120 fps definitely feels much smoother in my view. For lower settings, it can actually help instead of hurting, since higher settings might strain the CPU and reduce performance. It seems these games aren't well-optimized, so performance improvements often come from tweaking certain settings, sometimes in surprising ways.
It seems the setup isn’t clearly defined. Mostly suggests around 1440p resolution. I mentioned they won’t maintain 144fps consistently. If there’s a problem, it probably isn’t the card—it might be elsewhere. Also note the user hasn’t updated yet after adjusting RAM XMP settings; improvements are possible but still not reaching 144fps. From my experience, pushing higher settings can stress the GPU more, which sometimes leads to better performance, though it feels counterintuitive. In a related point, general settings usually have little impact on frame rate for this game with a 3070, and I’ve seen higher resolutions yield more frames at 1080p—still around 170 FPS, even with a stronger card. CPU might also play a role here, and a faster processor could have boosted results by another 10–20 fps, but that’s just guesswork.
