You recently purchased a new GPU with an unusual voltage curve. The numbers should be more realistic, but the core clock is currently reaching 1980 MHz during gameplay, while the specifications state around 1665 MHz. Frequent crashes and freezes are occurring. I attempted to adjust the settings using VBios with nvflash, but it didn’t alter the curve. I’m unsure what factors control its default behavior. For a short-term solution, I changed the curve via MSI Afterburner, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to make this adjustment permanent and ensure it matches the intended settings. The model I own is an Asus RTX 3060 Ti with 8 GB of DDR2 memory.
Boost performance beyond factory limits when cooling and power support are available. Few reviews exist for this card, but I located a YouTube video demonstrating it at over 1900 MHz. If you encounter crashes, uninstall all DDU-related drivers and reinstall the newest ones.
The advertised speed boosts on Nvidia cards are largely unnecessary because GPU boost already handles most of the work. At around 1980MHz, the actual performance improvement is minimal. If you have a new card and it's causing blue screens, check the driver with DDU. Otherwise, return it—there’s likely an issue with the card itself. The built-in curve should be correct; the problem isn’t there.
