Good morning. Your MSI RTX 3050 with 8GB dual fans stopped functioning yesterday, working during startup before shutting down. There was minimal thermal paste on the die, so you added more and it now works, though there’s some distortion. Anyone have suggestions for a solution? Thanks!

It doesn’t appear to be in good shape at all. This might indicate a failing GPU, but let’s explore other possibilities first. I’ve noticed similar error messages on older GPUs. Have you verified the connections or switched to a different HDMI cable?

If @Hinjima's idea fails, you can always try a simple method: bake the PCB (take out all plastic components first). This approach smells like poor solder connections.

Artifacting often relates to VRAM issues or instability. The simplest action is to reduce the memory frequency.

Avoid this option. At most, you won’t burn yourself and you’ll gain a few more weeks from the device. It rarely works.
