Hey! Yesterday I tested my MSI RTX 2060 gaming graphics card with a benchmark and noticed it’s not performing as expected. I managed about 70 FPS at the highest settings. It seems similar to my older GTX 1060, which also gave around 100 FPS, so I’m a bit concerned. My setup includes an i3-10105F motherboard with 16GB DDR4 at 2400 MHz and a 650W PSU from Cooler Master. Good to know MSI can overclock these cards, but I’m worried about the results. Let me know if you need help!

Which motherboard are you using? The RAM size is either 1x16GB or 2x8GB.

I understand @191x7's point about CPU limits. Keep an eye on per-core usage during the test. Also, consider using 3DMark instead of Heaven as a benchmark. Don't forget to check the temperatures too.

Hey, your RAM is 2x8 from Corsair and you're using a Gigabyte S2H motherboard. Everything looks good, temps are normal and it's not throttling.

The B460 S2H can run with 2666MHz RAM for your i3, or up to 2933 if you have an i7 or i9. However, reaching 2666MHz won’t significantly improve performance beyond 2400 MHz. As discussed earlier, your CPU isn’t very powerful and might be limiting speed a bit. Still, aiming for 1080p is what you mentioned, and an average of 70 is not that bad. I’d try games instead of benchmarks to see if your gameplay feels better.

I still rely on Heaven occasionally to stress a system and keep it running for a short period as a simple stability check. However, it's considered outdated when used as a real performance benchmark.
