I've been reviewing sudden strike 4 lately, and honestly it doesn't quite capture my attention. I used to love the earlier entries like sudden strike 1 and 2, but now watching them feels different. It seems modern RTS games are shifting focus toward flashy visuals and polished graphics rather than deep gameplay. I haven’t played SS4 yet, so maybe my reaction is based on media impressions. Do you share this view, or am I overreacting? If so, what titles do you recommend that capture that classic style?

Playing Age of Empires 1, 2, and 3 is still going strong today.

I purchased Age of Empires 2 HD but found it hard to launch since I was more familiar with Empire Earth. I need to try it again. Honestly, I think the visuals are impressive, so I’ll attempt it after a couple of tries.

My top pick is number two because the multiplayer balance is the best I've encountered in any RTS, not just a flashy trick like Starcraft. I'd also suggest checking out HuniePop.

I’ll definitely give it another shot, multiplayer RTS—seems tough unless local. I build a wheel and they’re already taking me down—kind of a thing... lol. I didn’t say I was great! I just miss the old games. I’m only 25! haha! What’s HuniePop? lol

HuniePop isn't a real strategy game. It's a puzzle title where you try to win over girls. I often suggest it to those seeking a lighthearted shooter or RTS vibe.

I've noticed the trailers, yet the repeated shout "im a DX12 game! - for trial purposes!" stands out to me. However, it seems more intense than their latest titles, so I'm considering adding it to my Steam queue. After reviewing the gameplay clips, it feels like another RTS experience—worth checking out the escaltion version? Maybe they'll offer a sale around Christmas?

Ashs of the Singularity offers engaging 8-bit battles and massive hordes—perfect for casual RTS fans. COH delivers enjoyable gameplay, though its appeal might be limited by its visual style. Some players feel developers prioritize aesthetics over mechanics, which can be disappointing.

I own the original release and I appreciate it. It lacks the same vibe as AoE 2, yet it was really enjoyable during my playtime. While you’re thinking about RTS, have you looked into shooters that include command features similar to Mass Effect?
