I operate a 10gbase-L line at home between two switches, one running a Mikrotik CRS305. I accessed RouterOS using the default IP and updated the static address, but the switch isn’t showing up on my network. Everything works fine in WinBox except for routerOS, which isn’t reachable with either old or new IPs. I can’t even connect to routerOS with the new settings. The new IP I got falls within my router’s range. What’s going wrong? PS: Another Mikrotik switch had its static IP changed from 192.168.1.111 to 192.168.1.12.
Perform a hardware reset, press the button... It seems two networks are set up incorrectly. Verify that DHCP is turned off everywhere except the router.
I attempted that earlier today, but there was no success. It could be due to insufficient force, so I might try again once morning arrives. EDIT1: I believe DHCP wasn't activated on the CRS305; it was set up on my main router.
