Router switch?
You can use your ISP router as a modem, but it’s better to connect your new router as the modem. You’ll need to decide whether to use your SIM card with the ISP provider or the router itself. I’m sorry if this is confusing—I’m still learning about internet routers and WiFi.
Your tests indicate that even after connecting directly to the CPE, disabling the WiFi radios and adjusting its position still results in slow speeds. It seems the issue likely lies with your CPE itself or the 4G/LTE coverage at your home, suggesting an infrastructure problem. Your friend might have benefited from a stronger signal elsewhere. Consider having them check their own location for speed improvements. If they succeed, it points to your device’s location; if not, the CPE is the culprit. There’s evidence of live throughput data available on some 4G/LTE CPE status pages, which can guide you in finding optimal placement and confirming coverage quality.
Well I am originally posting this as he was the one who recommended me to get a new router as he told me that going from the ISP router (he had the same one), improved his speeds significantly. I will be buying a new router, and trying to see if it gives any better speeds. If it doesn't I'll just have to return it (which I thankfully can from a special local electronic store that I have in my city). I talked to an old friend of mine that works at a swedish website store (inet), he told me just to wait for 5G and that would be the best option. They estimate that the whole of sweden will have 5G sometime in 2021, but I am sceptical about that as I received my 4G connection in 2017/2018 I think. I'll just have to test out a new router I guess. I am sorry but I was unable to find anything with that information the Huawei router page. There maybe is a place where I can see those things, but I am unable to localise it.
