Router situation
I'm looking for reliable routers under 50€ that support speeds around 100Mbps both ways. I suspect something like the Technicolor DGA4330 might be outdated, but I want something suitable for a small apartment. Any recommendations?
Routers and modems exist side by side. When something other than Ethernet arrives—like fiber, POTS, or OTA—and gets turned into Ethernet, it becomes a modem. They can work together, but they remain distinct devices in one setup. It’s frustrating when you encounter a modem, especially if it appears typical, because ISPs often customize their hardware to fit their needs.
Avoid purchasing routers from network providers; get them directly from trusted sellers yourself.

Inquire whether you truly require it and if you have your own alternative. Many providers ask you to rely on their gear for official access on their systems, usually involving fiber links. This gadget isn't just a basic router you can buy at a store like Best Buy.
Uncertain, seems to be the network provider's brand they're employing for their services.
