The bridge mode isn't working properly. It seems the true bridge mode disables the router's capabilities, which is the main issue. People often rely on bridge mode to bypass ISP gateways and use a stronger router without needing double NAT.

That's handled by the device itself. I usually connect with a regular cable modem and separate router, which means no bridge mode issues. If you can't reach the web interface, it's probably time to reset the gateway. Going further down the discussion, you're attempting to convert this unit into a router? That wouldn't work. You could use it as a modem or as a router via bridge mode, but these gadgets aren't built for that purpose. While you might be able to act as a wireless AP, I'm not entirely sure it will function properly since these units don't support AP modes like some standard routers do. All the extra complications—like NAT and DHCP—will remain, potentially disrupting your network.
