i am just starting out in the pc building world. recently, i assembled a system with these components: an i7 7700k, a gtx 1060 with 6 gb, a 120 gb wd green ssd, two tb wd blue hdd, an asus tuf mark 2 z270, and an 8gb 2400 corsair vengence. i have some concerns about my psu, specifically the master 80 plus model rs-500-acab-b1. is this unit suitable for overclocking my gpu and cpu?

It seems like you're suggesting that the item you purchased should work well if it's a good quality cooler.

It will suffice. However, I wouldn't upgrade to a larger GPU than what you currently have and try to overclock it with the existing PSU. Just let me know if you plan to replace the GPU later.

It should be fine, just remember to not use the stock cooler if you're going to OC the CPU.

Stock cooler??
The 7700k does not come with an cooler. Only the none (k) versions do that.

You're asking if a Cooler Master 212 LED will work with your setup.

Absolutely, that looks like a solid tower cooler.

I'm using a cooler master 212 led... Will it work? Probably not, you shouldn't expect to do heavy overclocking.
