BIOS version 317 Windows 11 version 23H2 Issue: Under typical use, the laptop functions well briefly before a line appears across the touch or pen area above the main Thunderbolt port (as shown in the attached photo). The problem often starts after plugging in to charge and seems to resolve once the device is off for several hours before using it on battery. This pattern mostly applies except in rare cases where the issue emerges when charging the unit. System behavior, power consumption, and application performance remain normal during troubleshooting. The malfunction appears across all apps, the desktop, and within BIOS settings. Possible causes include a failing digitizer, a loose or damaged cable, or a short circuit somewhere. I’m looking for advice from others who’ve experienced similar problems on comparable devices, as well as guidance on resolving it without opening the laptop. Appreciate any help you can provide.
