I purchased the ROG CROSSHAIR VIII EXTREME today. I downloaded a BIOS file from the ASUS website, renamed it using the tools provided in the zip file, and copied it to a FAT32 USB drive. However, when I checked YouTube for instructions on flashing the BIOS to update, some creators mentioned there are two BIOS versions and that updating both is necessary. I need guidance on correctly updating dual BIOS versions and verifying successful updates.

You download the same bios on USB, then after playing the video it’s ready to install CPU RAM and other add-ons.

I haven’t finished the update yet due to the issue I mentioned. Right now I’m going to proceed with it. Someone on video mentioned it’s dual bios, so I paused and tried to understand before making any mistakes.

It's helpful to be aware of this since videos show updates happening without installing any parts, even the CPU. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
