Hey everyone! It looks like my Rockstar Social Club account got compromised. They’re asking me to log in using an email I never used before. I created a fresh account (just fine, only GTA V and RDR2 are there), but when I tried to access it, Steam already had another link attached. Sent a message to Rockstar, but no response. Posted on the subreddit, got taken down by the bot, and the same happened on the Steam side. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

The issue occurred similarly for you. Reach out to Rockstar support for assistance. They may be able to handle the email change and restore your account.

They never replied, I waited a week now... The issue is I completely don’t know the email or username linked to this account. I just didn’t have the time or mind to play, and now I’m dealing with a serious burn-out (or whatever’s going on, it’s all messed up). So I bought a gaming laptop to help me relax at home—successfully got to playing Skyrim already.

I found the email address I hadn’t used in years. There are so many accounts these days—it makes sense to keep them separate. With all the noise now, it’s practical to have different ones: one for admin, one for shopping online, another for second-hand sites, private messages, and a miscellaneous spot. I also have a separate account for my Google account from when it was popular, and an old secondary one too. That last one has been handling my Rockstar stuff since 2007. It used to be neatly organized, but then social login features changed things and now everything’s a mess. I might revert to a few back then, but right now there are so many it’s hard. The main reason for splitting them was spam, though filtering has improved a lot. Back then mixing shopping with private and admin emails was just chaos—those webshops would expose my addresses.

If you accessed that email account, Rockstar likely sent a notification about the hacker altering your Rockstar email. The message should include a recovery link or a note stating it wasn’t your decision. Completing those steps helped restore your account.

Good ideas, though I don’t think so. The last message came in on March 16th about GTA V. Then nothing at all. Just stopped.
