Rockstar achieved a smoother experience by removing all transition delays
I was shocked because usually when I take a plane or helo anywhere near Los Santos I have an immediate drop in framerate of 10 to 15 FPS, but not anymore. Sure GTA V is hardly an open world game (the AI is anything but persistent, I've seen NPC vehicles and NPCs disappear after driving a hundred yards away) but I'm amazed there's no transitional lag anymore on my potato 9700k system.
I wonder if the RAGE engine is the most refined game engine ever?
So this is no more "drop" correct?
I would not expect normal performance from any computing device if connected to the internet while in an aircraft of any sort. Certainly not for the better per se.
"potato 9700" specs?
If there is a specific problem then post accordingly.
Otherwise this thread likely should be posted (moved) to Opinions and Experiences.
Please clarify.
Just in case you're unsure, this question is about why an i7-9700K, which was considered a strong gaming CPU in 2018, could still perform adequately when running a game from 2013. You mentioned you were using an i7-8700K back then and possibly a 1070 Ti processor.
