It seems Rocket League is quite popular on Twitch, and I thought it worth checking out. The game looks great and offers a lot of entertainment. People’s opinions vary—some find it entertaining while others think it’s overhyped. In my view, it feels like a copycat, especially given its low price compared to similar titles. It shares the same mechanics as "Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-powered Battle-cars," but with limited updates and poor server quality. What are your thoughts? Have you tried any of these games before? Do you enjoy this genre? Is 20 euros reasonable for such a product?
I've watched waffle-kun, lirik-senpai, shorty-chan and annemunition play it on stream several times, and honestly I really enjoy it. If I had €20 on Steam right now, I'd buy it. It's not the game's complexity that makes it valuable, but the fun you get from it. Essentially, if I want more than 20 hours of enjoyment, it's worth it for me. Unfortunately, all my friends are overly greedy and think every game should be free—game developers really rely on small payments!
Honestly, playing their old title on PS3 was great, but it feels like a complete makeover. I won’t spend 20 gipsycoins just for it. Still, I’m really interested in getting it if they release it again—maybe around 10 euros! It was the game that first sparked my love for gaming. I’ve enjoyed it more than CoD most of the time, lol.
besides the quirky fact that waffle's PC functions like a toaster (bahdumtish?), the game features impressive graphics and well-designed unlockables. Those subtle touches—like swaying grass, a wizard hat, and a heart antenna—elevate the experience beyond just looking better than the previous title. Many players don’t own the older version, which adds value. Inviting Steam friends on PC (Masterrace) is another nice feature. There are games without these elements, but this one stands out. For me, it might also boost sales once I get a Steam controller.
