Players will continue to use Source 1, just like pro players did before CS:S was released. Adapting to play CS on another engine is the goal.

It was a bit simplified in 1.6, with less consistency and more unpredictable elements. The "spray patterns" weren't as defined, making it harder to rely on skill. Competitive players found it frustrating. CS:Source essentially mirrored the style of Counter-Strike.

The source had a major issue; you could keep running nonstop and still cause harm. Deag was the best in the game.
