Currently I have three distinct fans in my system: three 120mm Lianli fans (two with 140 intakes and one with 120 exhaust), a 120mm Coolermaster on the CPU cooler, and a Corsair exhaust fan. All are functioning properly, but my Corsair fan spins up when the system starts and then stops immediately afterward. I've tested them in various fan slots, including the CPU cooler slot, without any difference. It would ramp up, then shut down, and just stop. The unusual part is that some of these Corsair fans I haven’t used recently also behave this way, even though I previously used another one. I talked to @filpo about it, but no action was taken.

Have you adjusted the fan manually? Various fans function at distinct speeds, and some may have presets that limit their operation. A fan curve might be set to shut off before reaching full capacity.

That's probably what happened, but I'm not sure if the fans will start when things heat up enough.

Yes, it can work. However, I customized the curve for that fan, making it actually off. It still attempts to power on, which isn't ideal for its long-term health. Alternatively, you could adjust the curve to be a bit gentler.

adjusting the fan curve was correct. You were right, my curve was too aggressive and the fan couldn't operate at such low RPMs.
