The female port on your camera got water damage, and the cable colors look different from what you're familiar with. You're looking for advice on how to fix or rewire it properly.

Do you possess the connector you removed? If yes, proceed accordingly. The RJ-45 standard employs just 8 strands of cable, whereas your cable has 12—confirm whether the end was indeed an RJ-45 connector rather than a different proprietary type.

I’ll attempt to reach the end, but it appears the device was only exposed to water. Yes, it came from a female RJ-45 port.

Have you thought about how you'll position the connector since standard tools can only handle eight pins?
