All legal matters aside, I believe you're intending to simply "Copy/paste" data onto another device and assume it will function. If that's your plan, avoid doing it. Even if it does operate (though the chance is probably under 10% based on your setup), you'll likely face more problems than you anticipate.

Avoid purchasing a Windows license at this time. No license required for setup and you won't need one for the first 30 days. If you manage to dual boot OS X and Windows, you can always acquire a Windows key later. You're welcome to use the Windows trial period and purchase a key if necessary.
