I just received these 12v 4-pin RGB LED strips, and everything worked fine on my motherboard until the pins shorted and damaged the circuits. My MSI MGP Gaming Pro Carbon has two RGB headers—one is now nonfunctional, and the other shows no blue and appears greenish. Could you recommend a replacement motherboard under $100-250? It should be ATX form factor, include Wi-Fi (optional), have an M.2 slot if possible but not required, support 2+ SATA ports, use a 8-pin CPU, and a 24-pin motherboard with PCIe Gen4 support? You definitely need a powerful Z390 with plenty of VRM power. I can't recommend a specific model, but it's likely to be a solid choice. VRMs are crucial for the 9700k model since they handle high current demands. I remember now what tags to look for. Checking pcpartpicker.com shows the ASUS Z390-A Pro is well regarded. It seems to have sufficient VRM and good heatsinking. It's also reasonably priced in the US. I can't confirm its performance, but it looks like a popular and affordable option.
