I'm not sure where to share this. My ASUS B550-PLUS MOBO has a single ARGB gen 2 5V 3-pin connector plus two RGB 12V 4-pin connectors. I'm trying to wire it with the Cooler Master ML360R, three case fans, and the Phanteks Neon combo kit. The GT301 case includes its built-in controller that connects to the MOBO's ARGB header and provides six extra headers. I'm considering skipping the Cooler Master controller from the AIO because of the many wires and instead connecting everything directly to the controller for Aura Sync. The AIO has three ARGB cables, a Pump ARGB cable, and each case fan has its own ARGB cable. The Phanteks model uses DRGB lighting that I discovered is shipped with some confusion.
Questions:
1. I intend to connect each ASUS case fan individually to the controller as it arrives. That means three connectors. I plan to use the AIO fans (all three) with the splitter included, connecting them to just one ARGB header. The manual states the RGB connector can handle up to 5V and 2.6A. Is that acceptable? Three fans on one header seems fine.
2. After wiring the three case fans separately (each on its own header) and the three AIO fans (due to the 5-way splitter), I have two headers left. I intend to use one of those for the AIO pump RGB. Can I use the remaining 5V 3-pin connector for the Phanteks Neon? It lists both DRGB and 5V/3-pin. I'm unsure which is correct. Thanks very much for your help!
I located the solutions. Updates are needed for anyone requiring assistance. The ARGB hub can handle three 3 MF120R fans on one header. Two 2.6A power supplies provide ample headroom. Three AIO fans with RGB lighting using a 5-way splitter on a single header work well. One header accommodates an AIO pump RGB unit. Three case fans are positioned across three headers. The two Neon Phanteks cables are daisy-chained and plugged into one header. All six connections fit neatly. The CM controller hub with the AIO offers excellent magnetic mounting, though the numerous cables entering and exiting make it cumbersome. The GT301 case hub from ASUS is a valuable addition. Aura Sync functions seamlessly. Yes, the Phanteks Neon strip includes a cable for connecting to standard ARGB headers—it changes ARGB to DRGB (DRGB isn’t ARGB).
