Hello to all the cpmmunity. Greetings from Greece. Hope you're all good. My message is about a question for the Windows defender and Windows keys from eBay. I bought a Windows 10 Pro key from eBay and it's all good. But the last month I noticed that I don't have the windows Defender active. I mean there is no icon in the icons panel and when I open "Windows Security" I see a blank page. Also I'm using "RevoUninstaller" to clean some of the Windows background apps cause I really don't need them and they EAT my PC with no reason. Do I really need the Windows Defender? Is it a problem cause I bought the key from E bay? Did I do anything while using RevoUninstaller? Anyway Thank you very much guys. Linus I believe you can be more cringe than this....don't disappoint us (just kidding). All the love from Greece.

The absence of Windows Defender is concerning. You should definitely have some kind of anti-malware protection. Defender performs reasonably well. I’m worried it might be missing. Have you disabled it?

You might have cleared too much data with the uninstaller or there’s genuine malware interfering. The keys won’t help against it.

Considering another format and reinstalling Windows makes sense. I've already done two formats on my M2 disk after building the PC about seven months ago. Thanks for the advice!

You're right, there are plenty of unnecessary background processes consuming resources. Even with some deletions and just Firefox running, I'm seeing around 17-18% RAM usage.

You seem to have more experience than I do. I haven't really explored these topics deeply. Just remember a few essential tasks and how to check your PC. Appreciate the assistance!
