I found a bunch of components ready for recycling at work and wanted to create something interesting. Here’s what I have: Intel Xeon x5560 with quad cores, LGA 1366 socket, two sets of 6x4GB PC3-8500R RAM, and two Nvidia Quadro FX 1800 graphics cards. I’m searching for a motherboard to assemble. I’m not fixing the CPU, but I’ve collected some 900-series i7s that fit the same socket. For ECC memory support, I need a board that actually backs it up. The RAM part is crucial—I’ve picked up a few LGA 1366 boards, but none support registered RAM. I’m okay using only a portion, but I’d like to try at least one full set of 6x4GB. Any advice would be appreciated!
