Here are some solid options for re-recording audio, whether for gaming or your desktop. Look for free tools first, and if you need better quality, investing in a paid program can be worthwhile.

I was considering torrents and maybe YouTube, wondering if Fraps would work. Thanks again!

I favor OBS since Fraps suffers from excessive lag and storage issues.

For a Nvidia GPU, ShadowPlay is the best option. It also supports desktop recording.

You don’t need to log in to GeForce Experience to use Shadow Play. It’s built into your GPU settings, so you can enable it directly from the graphics menu.

You don't have to login to use it. Click the ShadowPlay tab on GFE and set your keybinds, for recording and stop recording. On the virtual Monitor at the top should be a check box where you can select to allow desktop recording. I usually do a full system restart just in case (GFE settings always bug out for me until a restart). Press your record button and do your thing.

I’d prefer using ShadowPlay, as it doesn’t cause noticeable performance issues most of the time. For more details, check the official guide here: If you still want to proceed, OBS is a better alternative than FRAPS, though it may introduce some lag. You can find tips on OBS recording settings at: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/h...rdings.16/.

Yes, thanks! I gave it a try with Fraps but didn’t like it. I’ll go with Shadow Play for my rig and OBS for my laptop. Appreciate the help!
