I’ve been dealing with a failing motherboard that keeps freezing every few seconds, making even basic BIOS tweaks impossible. Overclocking is unreliable, pushing only a tiny bit above stock performance. I once used an ASRock Z170 Pro4 with an i7-6700 and had some RAM mismatches, but now I’m pretty sure the board is on the verge of failure. So I’m switching to a new motherboard and possibly upgrading my CPU. In short, I think it’s time for an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and a budget-friendly Gigabyte X570 AORUS MASTER that can handle the stress. This is mainly for gaming on Windows 10.
