I captured a few images at spawn, keeping the same view, so you can see each choice clearly: https://imgur.com/a/rShHYJu
The MSI afterburner appears on the screen. A new NVIDIA driver for a cyberpunk theme was released just before launch. You might not have installed it yet. If you haven’t, your system may struggle with ultra settings without DLSS. As observed, even a 3080 GPU only achieves 40fps at 1440p when all ultra settings are active. DLSS works by rendering at a lower resolution and then upscaling with AI to a higher one. That’s my interpretation so far.
It seems the game isn’t optimized for many processing units, which is frustrating for players with higher core counts but helpful for those with fewer cores. The default settings are set to 4K ultra with ray tracing, so I’ll need to adjust the menus. My main hurdle is key binding problems that prevent me from playing comfortably as a left-handed user. Witcher 3 experienced similar issues at launch, forcing me to switch to an Xbox controller until a fix was released.
I’ve started playing in NightCity now, but the audio quality isn’t ideal. It’s using only about 60% of my CPU while the GPU handles around 70%, which feels a bit disappointing. I’ve lowered the settings to high performance with DLSS in perf mode and ultra RT.
