Hi everyone, I own an ASRock fatal1ty ab350 gaming k4 motherboard with a Ryzen 3 1200 CPU that's overclocked to 3.9ghz. I'm planning to flash the BIOS and heard it's recommended to reset the BIOS before doing so. Can I reset the BIOS directly from within it? Should I clear the CMOS or is a simple reset sufficient?

All Bios models offer the ability to apply default configurations, as mentioned earlier. This feature is typically accessible via the exit menu. Reapply the default settings once the BIOS has been updated to ensure the new firmware parameters are correctly saved in CMOS.

I would just revert to the standard settings and save, ensuring there aren't any excessively high memory clocks, strict timing constraints, or fast clock speeds that could cause a lockup during the reflash.
