Hello everyone, I'm updating my home network infrastructure since the equipment from my ISP isn't reliable. I have two computers requiring wired LAN connections and intend to reuse an old PC as a Pf-Sense router. Here are some suggestions: - 1-4 port Gigabit PCIe NIC - Cable modem - 1-2 AP configuration (try to minimize switching) - 5-8 port managed switch (like DGS-1100-05PD) Thanks ahead, GP

Docsis 3.0 models: CM500, CM600, SB6183. Any Docsis 3.1 unit will suffice. Avoid 32-channel modems—they rely on the Intel Puma 6 chipset and often cause problems.

For your networking setup, consider an Intel I350-T4 which is reasonably affordable on eBay and offers strong performance. Any Ubiquiti AP will suffice, though the lightweight model is ideal for home use. When connecting to a device like the NetGEAR GS108T-200NAS, ensure compatibility.
