Hi there, I'm setting up my first gaming rig in January after a few years in the scene. Since I haven't been around much lately, I'd love your advice on which games to start with. I mainly enjoy RPGs, strategy titles, and shooters. I'm not really into sports or racing games. Some of my past favorites could help you recommend some options. For consoles, I usually prefer turn-based games like Final Fantasy or Chrono Cross. Please let me know what games are coming soon next year that I should keep an eye on. Thanks a lot!

Have you ever tried Portal 2? Borderlands Metro is another title mentioned by Nico123473. There are also games like ARMA III, which focuses on realism, and DayZ, a zombie survival shooter that mimics ARMA's style.

You might want to give CS:GO a shot (the latest version of Counter-Strike). Since you’ve played Dota, trying some other MOBA titles could be fun. Just keep in mind it might spark a heated debate between LoL and Dota players. If you’re unsure, check out gameplay videos on YouTube to see what fits your style.

Thanks for the ideas. I’ll check out all the games you recommended and aim to try 2-3. If you have any other options, just let me know. Also, could you mention which ones are free to play so I can test them right away? I’d prefer to start with some solid free games before investing in others.

Make sure one of those games is Skyrim, it's an amazing game, especially if you have the right mix of mods.
