So i dont know this has happened to me in the past and back them i also had to do a 100% fresh install of windows. So here is whats happening i started my day as normal sat at my pc checked news and all that good stuff and went to work...came back at lunch watched some youtube and went back to work....came home and my pc was at the BIOS screen, rebooted and right into BIOS, all hardware was accounted for it was seeing my M.2 drive and all my RAM and everything....i then rebooted again...and again...and again...all back to BIOS....i then went on my other PC and downloaded the latest BIOS from Asus and updated the Mobo BIOS....still nothing straight to BIOS....so i inserted my Windows USB and proceeded to reinstall windows....formatted my M.2 and reinstalled windows and its working like normal... anyone? the hell happened?
Have you recently installed Windows? I noticed this on a client's machine once—they updated a few hours earlier and while working on a Photoshop task, they encountered a bug. After rebooting, the system booted into BIOS but couldn't recognize the SSD as a bootable drive. Fortunately, we maintain backups, making restoration straightforward despite the unusual circumstances. It’s intriguing that both of us experienced a similar problem!
I believe your UEFI drive might have suffered some damage (that can occur occasionally, possibly due to a failing sector on your SSD that has now been replaced), which prevented your system from finding the operating system. The upcoming installation should work fine because this issue isn't caused by hardware failure but rather by typical wear and tear of an SSD. I'm not certain, but I'm fairly sure this was your situation.
