Restricted storage capacity on the hard drive.
Hi, yesterday I performed a clean Windows 10 installation and removed my second SSD. After that, I reconnected everything, but now I’m experiencing limited access to my HDD. Steam shows I have 0MB left, preventing game installations and torrent downloads. The issue seems to be with the HDD access. Anyone have any suggestions or fixes for this?
It's only a single partition on your HDD, yet you have roughly 12GB of recovery space on your second SSD. Can I help you free that space?
If no software is installed on that HHD, you might reset the entire system by wiping it clean. I experienced this with an external HDD once; only about 20MB of the 500GB was accessible. Open Command Prompt as Administrator, type diskpart and hit Enter. In the Diskpart window, select the disk and press Enter. A list of disks will show up in text format. Return to the prompt. Warning: Diskpart Erase/Clean will delete all data on the chosen drive permanently. Confirm you're targeting the right disk. In Diskpart, choose the correct disk number (for example, if your HDD is Disk 1, type select disk 1 and press Enter). Warning: Diskpart Erase/Clean will permanently erase/destroy all data on the selected drive. Ensure accuracy before proceeding. Once you enter clean and press Enter, the drive’s partition, data, and signature are removed. You’ll go back to the Diskpart window. Warning: After typing clean and pressing Enter, the drive is fully erased without any warnings. The Command Prompt will show “DiskPart succeeded in cleaning the disk.” Now the HDD can be reinitialized, partitioned, and formatted.
