Restarts, crashes, and Prime95 issues are occurring, but diagnosis remains unresolved.
Summary of the situation: The user's PC was being diagnosed by a friend. It experienced frequent reboots during gaming. The system specs include a Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX (rev. 1.0) with Ryzen 5 7600X and 5070ti CPU, paired with two 16GB DDR KF556C40BBK2-32 modules and two 970 series SSDs. The power supply was a Deepcool PN1000M. The event viewer showed kernel power at 41 with no other warnings or errors.
Updates were made: BIOS refreshed, drivers from the motherboard site, latest Nvidia drivers installed, XMP disabled, and a full memtest86 run (11 hours) completed without errors. The user adjusted the Windows power plan, turned off fast boot, and changed the BIOS to global C-state controls. RAM swapping was tested—single sticks worked in A2/B2 slots but not A1/B1. Four different RAM configurations were tried, including two from the user and two known working units. The MOBO manual suggested using A2 or A2+B2 slots, but it was just a recommendation.
Performance tests (Prime95, FFTs) passed without issues. The PC booted normally with mixed RAM positions. Despite this, the user requested a return via RMA, citing no problems found during testing. The concern was whether any part of the setup could still cause instability or failure.
Are there additional PSUs available for testing? I believe this could be the next phase.
It was my initial idea to use a Deepcool DQ750 with 750 watts but without a dedicated 12VHPWR cable and ATX 3.1 certification. We replaced it with the newer model that includes everything. This didn't fix the problem.
