You can disconnect both HDDs during the installation of Windows 10 on your SSD. Then, once the setup completes, you’ll need to connect them again before moving forward. This approach preserves your data while allowing a fresh installation.

Ensure the primary OS is placed in the first slot to avoid connecting to another drive. If not, adjust the order in BIOS/UEFI.

I followed what Doramius advised, and it worked out okay. If it doesn’t, double-check that the SSD remains ranked as number one in the boot sequence within the BIOS.
