I want to format my PC and install windows home because I have the wrong version (unactivated win 10 pro) on my PC. Do I need to download windows media creation tool and make my own bootable windows USB or can I just use the USB that came with my windows 10 home retail pack? Sorry if this question seems stupid

With enough resources, the creation method offers a more current version of Windows 10. This results in fewer updates needed after installation.

I really didn’t realize they offered those types of sticks; I usually rely on the media creation tool. It’s pretty straightforward.
