Hi, I recently swapped out my PSU and since then my PC has restarted about 1 or 2 minutes after turning on. It works fine afterward, even when using Windows for two minutes. After the restart, fans spin up briefly before returning to normal operation—similar to starting a car and pressing the gas for a short time before it runs smoothly again. The new PSU is 700 watts, which is more than sufficient compared to my old 750W unit.
If the issue emerged only after swapping the PSU, I'd assume it's tied to the recent change. It might involve the PSU itself, its connections, or another factor from the replacement. Alternatively, it could be purely random.
I discovered the fix, and for those facing similar issues, it was due to a program called malwarebytes windows firewall control. On startup, it tries to update itself continuously, but once you let it update, it stops needing a restart at the Windows start.
