Before, my setup consisted of an i5 11400F with 32GB RAM, an RTX 2060, a 1TB NVMe SSD, and a Gigabyte B560 DS3H AC-Y1 motherboard—an iBuyPower exclusive version. My friend recently upgraded to an RTX 2080ti and provided me with his 5700 XT. I installed the graphics card and played some games, but when I tried to shut down the PC, it automatically restarted itself. I've attempted various fixes: disabling automatic restart after crashes, enabling powerdown aftershutdown in the registry, using the System File Checker, disabling the network adapter during wake-up, updating Windows, forcing a shutdown via CMD.

Ensure the video card is completely inserted into the slot and that all fasteners are firmly tightened.

I attempted this without success, but I'll try using the card in another PCIe slot just in case the original slot was damaged.

Replaced the card in the slot and then tested it in another slot. The problem appears in both cases.

The card could be too large and drooping, needing a support bracket to keep it in place. I purchased one for my 6700 XT, which pushes up from the bottom. I plan to snap a photo once I’m back home. There might be other problems as well.

Here, the image might look less clear because of the light from my flashlight. Notice the white bracket pressing against the video card?

After more testing, I managed to stop it correctly in Ubuntu. Thinking it would be easier to reinstall Windows, I cleared the storage and put in a new version, but the issue persists.

You have a working temporary fix with Ubuntu installed alongside your main OS. When you shut down in Windows, it opens the boot menu and lets you choose Ubuntu without problems. You're still having issues shutting down from Windows even after a clean installation.
