Dear Sir / Madam, I'm attempting to dual boot my PC with macOS High Sierra 10.13 and Windows 10. I successfully installed macOS on a separate drive. The main problem I faced was being unable to start without the Mac installation USB. I resolved it by transferring the entire EFI folder and swapping it onto my boot drive, allowing the system to launch independently. The next challenge is installing GPU drivers. I encountered several difficulties, including a black screen issue. I followed a guide here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/fix-f...cs.234390/. After adjusting my RT variables, the PC still won't boot properly. It displays a lot of text on startup and then attempts to reboot (see attached). Anyone have suggestions? I reached out to tymonmacx86 for help but haven’t received responses in two weeks (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/reboo...rs.269592/). Thank you ahead of time. My PC specs: i7 8700K, MSI z370 gaming M5, GTX 1080 Ti.

Using Hackintosh involves trial and error. A straightforward approach is locating a tutorial that matches your hardware, especially the GPU brand, model, and type. A different 1080Ti setup may require a unique method. Alternatively, you can boot in Safe Mode with Disk Management to troubleshoot issues.

Really? I wasn't aware of variations between models and brands. I assumed a 1080 Ti was just a 1080 Ti.

The same configuration can vary across different models, affecting PCB design and firmware settings.

I don’t see any details about your GPU. You mentioned having a Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080 Ti.

It appears the list isn't refreshed. Just note that different brands may yield varying outcomes. Consider older OS versions or explore forums like Tonymac, InsanelyMac, or Hackintosh.zone for help.
