They might still review the QVL. It's conceivable the 5xxx series isn't compatible with those items.

Are you checking for this in that list? The RAM is located on the 2nd and 4th slots on the board.

Sure, I tried that before removing the 2600. It worked fine during driver installation but got really intense when I played games or did other activities like watching videos while in-game.

I assume you're playing the same games as before. Have the drivers been updated recently? Could there be an issue? Try running the games in window mode to check if the problem continues.
