This situation hasn't occurred before. The PSU is brand new and only a month old (MSI MPG A850GF). After rebooting, I ran stress tests using Furmark and Cinebench simultaneously at 2600x and R9 290x. The full-load PSU was dead cold, and after an hour it remained stable with no issues. I usually skip checking for instability since I haven't done it before. It might be related to the lack of supported drivers for R9 200 series GPUs on Windows 11. The Event Viewer showed all kernel errors were forced shutdowns before April 20th. There could be an overheating problem, as this GPU doesn’t spin up fans properly and I didn’t adjust the fan speed before starting the game.

The issue seems to be with the driver. That’s why I chose Windows 10 for my new setup. Support for some features is still limited right now. I plan to switch soon, but I didn’t want extra troubles later.

I don't have a clear memory of the temperatures before shutdown. It's hard to estimate accurately without specific data.

Not sure about this but with fans at 65% manual it stays around 82°C. It’s better every time before this one when I just wanted to enjoy the game without checking hardware temps. Without adjusting manual fan speed they run at 30 to 40% max, and those 25% really matter. It’s odd I had both audio and restart problems only when playing Apex, while other games worked fine. Still strange it restarted instead of shutting down. PSU seems fine.
